What happens after I bring my ISO application to the court?

Printer-friendly version
Your application will be forwarded to a designated person in Nova Scotia, who will send the application to another designated person in the respondent's jurisdiction. The application will then be sent to the appropriate court for a hearing and decision.

You may or may not receive notice of the hearing date, depending on the policy in the other jurisdiction. You may also be asked to provide additional information throughout this process. Update the court any time your information changes, especially your address or phone number.

You will be given a certified copy of any order granted in the other jurisdiction once the Nova Scotia courts receive it.
